Note:

1) You are to select a song of your choice, or you can use your old song from the audition last Saturday (It is up to you).

2) Please provide us with the english translation of your chosen song (for censorship purposes).

3) We are going to have a full dress rehearsal on the 6th December (10am till 5pm), at the Multipurpose Hall at UBD Female Hostel. You can come at anytime between the time stated above.

4) Please DO bring your full dress costume(s) and show them to the committees in-charge even if you do not wish to wear it during the full dress rehearsal.

"DST Kristal Astro KPOP Singing Competition"

안녕하세요 여러분. . . To all KPOP lovers in Brunei, UBD Korean Culture Club will be organizing the "DST Kristal Astro KPOP Singing Competition" on the 10th of December. Audition will be held this Saturday (26th Nov 2011, 10am till 5.00pm only) at DST HQ Level 1, DST Theatre. It's open to public! So don't miss it! A lot of prizes to be won, such as DST broadband, cash prizes, mobile phones, camera and many moreeee! T&C apply.

This will be our last activity for the semester. this time we will teach you how to make gimbap and tteokpokki. and bjfa will teach you guys how to make sushi and soumen

'Test of Proficiency in Korean' (TOPIK)

This is to inform you all that the 'Test of Proficiency in Korean' (TOPIK) finally been advertised by the Korean Embassy. This is the first Korean language test held in Brunei. So anyone of you who are interested in joining the TOPIK, you are advised to visit the website of Korean Embassy at brn.mofat.go.kr and select 'English'. From there, you can download the form and hand in to the Embassy between 23rd June and 7th July.

Radish Kimchi making (깍두기)

안녕하세요 !

Here comes the most awaited activity of the semester ! It's the "Kimchi-making" activity !

Kimchi (김치), is a traditional fermented Korean dish, made of vegetables with varied seasonings. Kimchi may also refer to unfermented vegetable dishes. There are hundreds of varieties of kimchi, made with a main vegetable ingredient such as napa cabbage, radish, green onions or cucumber. Kimchi is the most common banchan, or side dish, in Korean cuisine. Kimchi is also a main ingredient for many popular Korean dishes such as kimchi stew (김치찌개; kimchi jjigae), kimchi soup (김칫국; kimchiguk), and kimchi fried rice (김치볶음밥;kimchi bokkeumbap).

This time, we are going to make Radish Kimchi, also known as 깍두기 /kkakdoogi/. Come over and you'll get the chance to taste and even made this dish by yourself. You do not want to miss this !

Registration fees:


$4 for 1 semester

$6 for 2 semesters



Korean Culture Club’s rules and regulations:



1. The club will have about six activities for this semester. Members are required to attend at least three activities in order to get the certificate. No certificate given to those who attend less than three activities.
2. In each activity, all the members have to sign in upon their arrival and sign out at the end of activity.
3. You can register for either one semester or two semesters.
4. Registration fee is accepted until further notice.
5. Fee is non-refundable.



KCC welcome all new members and former members to join the club!

Singing Contest for Language Week!

Language week is going to be held on 26th - 28th of January. KCC is calling all the members to join the Singing Contest held on Friday, 28th January 7.30 pm.



What you need to do is form a group (unlimited member) we only need 2 or 3 teams or you can also do a solo performance and choose any K-Pop songs. Register yourself to this person (Zah - 8952775).
