We are now recruiting for our new committees! Are you interested to be part of Korean Culture Club family?! If you are interested to join us, please text your name and registration number and send them to 8862615(Atiqah) before the deadline Monday, 22nd August, 2011.  [sms only!! please~]

The meeting will be held on;
Wednesday, 24th August, 2011. 2pm onwards.
Venue: Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Language Center building.

'Test of Proficiency in Korean' (TOPIK)

This is to inform you all that the 'Test of Proficiency in Korean' (TOPIK) finally been advertised by the Korean Embassy. This is the first Korean language test held in Brunei. So anyone of you who are interested in joining the TOPIK, you are advised to visit the website of Korean Embassy at brn.mofat.go.kr and select 'English'. From there, you can download the form and hand in to the Embassy between 23rd June and 7th July.

KCC Mini Concert

Dear members,


Next week would be our last activity for this semester (awwww )= ), it's an activity you wouldn't want to miss! We are going to have a Mini Concert, so there will be a lot of exciting performances, performed by KCC members and committees. Do come and cheer for our performers, it's going to be a blast! (insyaAllah). Hehe.

Radish Kimchi making (깍두기)

안녕하세요 !

Here comes the most awaited activity of the semester ! It's the "Kimchi-making" activity !

Kimchi (김치), is a traditional fermented Korean dish, made of vegetables with varied seasonings. Kimchi may also refer to unfermented vegetable dishes. There are hundreds of varieties of kimchi, made with a main vegetable ingredient such as napa cabbage, radish, green onions or cucumber. Kimchi is the most common banchan, or side dish, in Korean cuisine. Kimchi is also a main ingredient for many popular Korean dishes such as kimchi stew (김치찌개; kimchi jjigae), kimchi soup (김칫국; kimchiguk), and kimchi fried rice (김치볶음밥;kimchi bokkeumbap).

This time, we are going to make Radish Kimchi, also known as 깍두기 /kkakdoogi/. Come over and you'll get the chance to taste and even made this dish by yourself. You do not want to miss this !
